Rare Diseases Attacking the two brothers - Although both have a rare condition worsened, but the kids are always smiling. Family calls them as little fighter with a loving and cheerful personality. Batten disease is a fatal inherited disorder of the nervous system and began the children. In some cases, the early signs are emerging such as personality and behavior changes, slow learning, and often stumbled.

Symptoms that arise from Batten disease is associated with the buildup of lipopigments (consisting of fat and protein) in body tissues. Generally, the disease was first suspected when an eye for early signs that often arises is blindness.

While the diagnostic test for the disease include blood or urine, skin or tissue sampling, an electroencephalogram (EEG), eye exams and brain scans. Over time, children affected by this disease will suffer from a mental disorder, worsening seizures, and loss of vision and motor skills. The disease is often fatal in their teens or 20s.

To date there is no known specific treatment can stop or mengembalikkan the patient's condition. But for seizures can sometimes be reduced or controlled with anticonvulsant drugs. As well as physical therapy and occupational therapy may help patients retain function as long as possible.
