Child Nutrition both ends with Two Glasses of Milk Every Day

Child Nutrition both ends with Two Glasses of Milk Every Day - Milk is known to contain nutrients that are good for children's development. However, some studies on nutrition proven that consuming certain nutrients in excess, will cause negative effects for those who consume them. So how much is the recommended consumption of milk in a day?

According to recent research conducted by the University of Toronto, Canada, two glasses of milk a day is the recommended amount to meet the nutritional intake of milk. The content of vitamin D in milk is proven to build bone. But unfortunately, too many dairy consumption can affect the reduction of iron in the body of the child.

The study was in line with the advice of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). Namely, recruit intake of two to three cups of milk to children in a day. In his research, Maguire examines the relationship between milk intake and iron levels in children. He and his colleagues studied more than 1,300 children ages 2 to 5, related to how much time children spend outdoors, skin pigmentation, and body mass index of children.

Blood samples showed that children who drink too much milk, increased levels of vitamin D, but reduced levels of iron. Meanwhile, iron deficiency can lead to impaired self-control, mood, concentration of attention, learning and behavior. Children who drank two cups of milk every day have a healthy level of Vitamin D and iron.
