Gum Disease Causes Sensitive Teeth - Sensitive teeth is not only caused by brushing too hard. Gum disease can also cause teeth to become more sensitive. In fact, periodontal disease is the second biggest problem in the oral health of the people of Indonesia.

Not many people know where dental health depends on the health of the gums. Gums serves to protect the delicate threads that bind the roots of the teeth in the jawbone. If there is inflammation of the gums, it can cause infection, swelling, pain, and further bone destruction. Advanced gum disease can cause tooth loss that sehat.Selain causes sensitive teeth, gum disease has also been associated with other health problems, such as diabetes, heart disease, stroke, and premature birth or babies born with low weight.

Gum disease is complicated by many factors, such as poor oral hygiene, gum disease, family history, smoking, and family history of diabetes. Pamela Quinones RDH, President of the American Dental Hygienists Association, hopes people will begin to notice gum health.

Pamela said that most people go to the dentist because they are worried about the problem of cavities. However, once a person reaches a certain age, gum disease is an issue that is more important than untreated cavities.

Gum disease is divided into two stages. First, gingivitis which is the early stage of gum disease. At this stage, the gums become red and inflamed, and the risk of bleeding. Gingivitis can usually be overcome by daily brushing and flossing with dental floss, along with regular check-ups and cleaning process, if caught early.
